The Armchair Martian: Using Mars 3D Data in the Classroom The movie “The Martian†and the success of Mars orbiters and rovers have ignited renewed interest in the Red Planet. Data collected by these probes is freely available online. This session will show how to access that data and use low cost or open source tools to create 3D models of Mars, the Moon, and Mercury. Your students can explore the Solar System from the comfort of their own armchairs!
