Modeling Metacognition: Supporting Learner Self-Regulation Using Evidence-Based Design This session uses a mix of evidence-based design thinking, discussion, and hands-on activities to explore how teachers can support student metacognition by modeling self-regulated learning strategies and behaviors using online tools. Scaffolding, prompting, monitoring and providing learners opportunities to reflect as a natural part of lesson planning and delivery will be discussed. Participants will leave with practical ideas that they can implement into their lesson plans when they get back to their classrooms.
