This course will be interactive, exploring different web-based applications that can bring the world into your classroom and enhance curriculum instruction. Find ways to visit historical sites, retrace the steps of explorers, and investigate scientific findings, all without leaving the classroom, and all with technology. 

Bring your own device to experience webpage applications such as Google Street Treks, Maps, Museums, Skype, Google Cardboard, and more.

Code.org's AppLab Learn how to use Code.org's AppLab programming environment to create apps that can be shared. AppLab is a tool that can be used to teach coding with a JavaScript like language. We will build a couple of apps in the session. A informational app as part of a middle school science class and a math calculation from a middle school math problem. https://code.org/educate/applab

Driving Instruction with Google Classroom Do you want to learn an easy and time saving way to assign assignments and collect work from students? Do you have a Google Apps for Education account? Then Google Classroom is for you! You will learn how to set-up a Google Classroom and create, assign, and grade assignments, as well as communicate with your students. You will also be introduced to several sites and apps that integrate well with Google Classroom.

It's Okay to Scratch Jr. Come and explore the Scratch Jr. application. If you have tried Scratch in your classroom and feel it is too advanced for your students, then come and see the Scratch Jr. application that is easier for students to understand and grasp.
