Pearl Hart is the Family and Consumer Sciences State Specialist with the Utah State Board of Education. She has been in this position for 11 years. In this position, she is also the state director for the FCCLA student leadership organization and works with the Utah Restaurant Association ProStart program in Utah high schools. Past positions include BYU faculty for 9 years where she was a Teacher Educator for Family and Consumer Sciences Education for secondary education in the Department of Education and School of Family Life. Pearl was also an associate profession and FCS Extension Agent with Utah State University for 3 years. She has won numerous awards for her work including the UACTE Arch of Fame award, National Leader Award from AAFCS, and UAFCS Distinguished Service Award. Pearl is passionate about providing leadership and support for Utah’s family and consumer sciences teachers.
