I am the Coordinator of Libraries and Instructional Media for Alpine School District. A love for learning and education led me to a bachelor's degree in Speech Communication and Journalism, a Masters of Library Science, and a doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Technology and Design.
Throughout my career I have developed a deep appreciation for the transformative power of reading and literature and the importance of equipping students with critical information literacy skills. I firmly believe that every student deserves access to quality resources and the ability to discern and evaluate information effectively. I am dedicated to upholding principles of intellectual freedom and the right to choose. By fostering an environment where curiosity is encouraged and diverse perspectives are celebrated, I aim to empower students to become lifelong learners who are capable of navigating the complexities of the world with open minds and discerning judgment.
